Loyalty to a Brand: Why People Like Tractor Merchandise?

Loyalty to a Brand: Why People Like Tractor Merchandise?

Christmas is just around the corner so why not treat the tractor enthusiast in your life to official tractor merchandise. At Tractor Spare Part Ltd, we stock all manner of branded merchandise and we are happy to announce that our range is expanding even further.

We have had a very exciting delivery this week, when I put it on our Facebook page it understandably sparked a lot of interest. I have finally taken delivery of Nuffield tractor and Marshall tractor branded overalls. After putting pictures of them on our Facebook page and getting feedback from people who looked at the post, I have got the first batch being printed. These should be ready sometime in January, and I will put this on our Facebook when they are ready, and also they will be live on the website and available to purchase – check out our merchandise section for more details.

We get all of our clothing printed or embroidered locally, and we work well with this local company as I can go in and see what overalls they have and we can control the printing and embroidery ourselves.

Joining Our Expanding Range of Merchandise

These Nuffield and Marshall overalls will join our expanding range of Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall branded apparel.

We already offer Leyland branded overalls which have been designed to look like the royal blue overalls which Leyland tractor workers use in the factories. These overalls are royal blue in colour, have the Leyland round logo and the words ‘Leyland Tractors’ embroidered on the left breast. They then have the round Leyland Logo with ‘British Leyland’ printed on the back.

Both the Nuffield and the Marshall overalls are black. We wanted Nuffield Orange overalls, but none of the standard red or orange colours in the overalls range were quite the right shade of Nuffield Orange. We don’t want them being confused with Massey or Case or anything else, do we? So black with the branding on – practical for overalls and it makes the branding stand out well too. Who said you can’t have black overalls?

Other Merchandise

Before the overalls, Tractor Spare Parts Ltd only offered merchandise which had our company logo on it. We offer mugs, hats and, of course, our famous calendar!!

Some of our mugs come in the Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall brand and style, and print has changed over the years. There was a Synchro Drive ’78 special edition Leyland mug, which we made in 2018 to celebrate 40 years of the Leyland synchro tractors.

Other Plans To Expand The Merchandise

I do plan on expanding our range of merchandise. I hope to offer mugs in the Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall brands, but without Tractor Spare Part Ltd on them.
I am trying to find a nice shape mug that works well with the colours and printing. Watch this space and if anybody has any suggestions for mug shapes, then please let me know. I am always open to ideas of what people want.

Why Do People Want Merchandise?

So, tractor folk have their own brand of tractors that they like, and along with this goes a range of branded apparel that people like to have on display too. Whether it is clothing, mugs, hats, overalls or even figures/ornaments, this merchandise showcase loyalty to your favourite tractor brand. I guess having these pieces around the home remind us our hobby and it reminds us of the good times we have had with the tractors.

A lot of tractor enthusiasts are in a tractor club, and these clubs tend to have their own branded goods too.

Branded merchandise make great presents for tractor enthusiasts and it is a shame that I don’t have the overalls ready for Christmas this year. We have a ‘Wishlist’ section on our website where users can add parts to their Wishlist and this can be shared with friends and family as a Wishlist for birthdays, Christmas etc. What a great way to surprise somebody on a special occasion.

Calendar

So our most popular and much awaited piece of merchandise is the Tractor Spare Parts Ltd calendar. This 12 page calendar usually arrives with me late October and we start to sell the calendars early November.

This calendar started with nice pictures of our own range of tractors. Tractor Spare Parts Ltd are based 7 miles outside of Ashbourne in the beautiful Peak District, so we have some lovely scenery for the backgrounds of many tractor pictures. We run a small-holding, as do Andy’s parents, so there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to get nice pictures of our own tractors doing jobs. Although we have a large number of tractors ourselves, when we need 12 for a calendar, we soon run out of different poses and different tractors. This is to be expected after several years issuing the calendar. So now we do not use any of our own tractors, and throughout the year I collect pictures from across the world. I like a good mixture of tractors – not just renovated ones, I like them in their working condition too. I do ask that there are no people in the pictures where possible, as the calendars will be hung on walls across the globe, and the higher resolution picture the better – we want your tractor to look at its best and sometimes a quick snap on a phone doesn’t look at its best (although a lot of phones nowadays have cameras that are really good).

Tractor Spares Calendar

These calendars always sell out before the end of the year (as I write this I have 3 left) so they are very popular. So please contact us about availability of these calendars as soon as possible.

Ideas Always Welcome

So if you have any ideas of what you would like to see, please feel free to let me know.

As for now I will continue to work on my new range of mugs and I will eagerly await the first batch of the Nuffield overalls and the Marshall overalls. Watch this space!!
