Leyland 262 Bonnet Decal Set (Silver Stripe Models)

This Leyland 262 bonnet decal set is suitable for Leyland 262 tractors from serial number C208333 onwards fitted with the 5 x 2 gearbox models only. It contains the decals required to restore the bonnet, dashboard surround and cab to the correct late silver stripe appearance.

Designed and manufactured in the UK using original artwork wherever possible, these decals faithfully reproduce the appearance of the factory-fitted decals. They are ideal for tractor restorations, repainting projects and replacing faded or damaged originals.

Set Contents

The kit contains the following decals:

• 2 × Plain silver dashboard surround decals
• 2 × CTJ5846 – Small "262" decals (now incorporated into CTJ5859 and CTJ5855)
• 1 × CTJ5859 – Left-hand bonnet side decal with "Leyland" and "262"
• 1 × CTJ5855 – Right-hand bonnet side decal with "Leyland" and "262"
• 1 × CTJ5853 – Front bonnet decal
• 1 × CTJ5854 – Rear cab roof decal

Please note: The small CTJ5846 "262" decals are now incorporated into the main bonnet side decals CTJ5859 and CTJ5855, so separate application of these decals is no longer required.

Technical Notes

The silver stripe livery was introduced on later Leyland 262 tractors and differs from the decals fitted to earlier machines. Before ordering, please check your tractor's serial number and confirm that it is fitted with the 5 x 2 gearbox, as earlier models use a different decal set.

Applying new decals is one of the finishing touches that can transform a restoration, giving the tractor the authentic factory appearance it had when new. For the best results, apply the decals to clean, fully cured paintwork, ensuring the surface is free from wax, polish, grease and dust before application.
