This is a new rubber boot and clip used on the steering ball joints / track rod end assemblies fitted to selected Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall tractors. This rubber boot is also used on the drag link ball joints on early Nuffield models
The rubber boot helps protect the ball joint from dirt, dust and water, helping to keep grease in and contaminants out. It is commonly used with the steering ball joints in this range, including 37H7293, 27H9431 and 27H9421.
Please check your existing steering ball joint and boot size before ordering.

In Nuffield and Leyland parts books you may see this rubber boot listed as part numbers 27H9422 (rubber boot), 27H9423 (retainer) and 27H9424 (spring clip). 37H7292 contains all three of these components.
