Small End Bush – AHM9042

This quality replacement small end bush is fitted to the connecting rod on Leyland 4/98 and 6/98 engines with 3 or 4 ring pistons.

Important Information

• For Leyland 4/98 and 6/98 engines with 3 or 4 ring pistons
• The bush must be machined to size after fitting into the connecting rod
• Outside diameter: 39.79 mm (1.567")
• Internal diameter after machining: 36.5 mm (1.437") – refer to the workshop manual for final tolerance
• Recommended gudgeon pin to small end bush clearance: 0.034–0.04 mm (0.0013–0.0016")

Fitting Information

Correct fitting and final machining of the small end bush are important when rebuilding the connecting rod assembly.
