Engine coolant temperature sender with black plastic around the spade terminal, fitted to the Marshall 302 with the 1800cc engine.
Please check the colour of the plastic around the electrical terminal on your existing temperature sender before ordering.
The colour identifies the resistance characteristics of the sender and determines how it works with the temperature gauge. Fitting the incorrect colour sender can cause the gauge to read incorrectly.

All of the temperature senders that we offer have the same thread size, 5/8" UNF, but it is the colour of the plastic around the spade terminal that dictates the resistance of the unit. The different colours plastic meaning different readings. If your Marshall 802 tractor has black plastic, please double check that this has not been painted over. Scratch off a small bit, because I would expect it to be red underneath. Usually the black plastic around the terminal on the temperature sender is for the Marshall 302 tractor. The larger Marshall tractors usually have the red plastic. As I mentioned it will still work, but it the gauge will either read artificially hot or artificially cold with the wrong sender unit in it.
