CTJ70 is a replacement cab frame mounting bolt used to secure the cab to the rear axle mounting on selected Leyland tractors. Measuring ¾" diameter × 8" long (under the head), this bolt is used on both Standard (Rattle) Cabs and Quiet (QM) Cabs, depending on the tractor model and cab mounting arrangement.
Manufactured to the correct dimensions, this bolt is ideal for replacing worn, damaged or missing original bolts during cab repairs, restorations or complete rebuilds.
Each Standard cab requires:
Most Quiet cab tractors require:
Please check the rear cab mounting arrangement before ordering, as two different rear mounting designs were used on Quiet Cab models.
For a complete cab mounting installation, you may also require:
The cab frame is secured to the tractor using heavy-duty mounting bolts that fasten the cab to the rear axle mounting brackets. These bolts carry the weight of the cab while also resisting vibration and movement during normal operation.
Over many years of service, mounting bolts can become corroded, stretched or damaged, particularly if the cab has been removed several times. Replacing worn hardware helps ensure the cab remains securely mounted and correctly aligned.
Although CTJ70 is used on both Standard (Rattle) Cabs and Quiet (QM) Cabs, the quantity required differs depending on the cab type. Standard cabs use six CTJ70 bolts together with two longer CTJ69 bolts, while most Quiet cabs use eight CTJ70 bolts.
Quiet Cab tractors were manufactured with two different rear mounting arrangements, so it is important to compare your existing mountings before ordering to ensure the correct components are selected.
