CTJ6191 is a UK manufactured replacement engine stop cable for a wide range of Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall tractors. Manufactured in the UK using quality materials, this cable is produced to closely match the original specification and cable length, making it the preferred choice for restorations, original rebuilds and working tractors.
If you are looking for a lower-cost alternative, the original part number ATJ9142 is also available as a non-UK manufactured replacement cable.
This tractor stop cable features a durable outer casing, a strong inner cable and a red pull knob marked "PULL TO STOP". Please note that the knob is a darker shade of red than the original factory-fitted cable (see product photographs).
These dimensions closely match the original cable, making installation straightforward without the need to accommodate excess cable length.
This cable does not fit the following applications:
These later tractors require CTJ3826 or BTJ2374, which has a different cable length and is available separately.
The engine stop cable provides a simple and reliable mechanical connection between the dashboard pull knob and the fuel injection pump stop lever. As cables age, they can become stiff, corroded or seize internally, making the engine difficult to stop or requiring excessive pulling force.
Our UK manufactured cable has been produced to closely match the original dimensions, helping to ensure correct routing and smooth operation. Before fitting, route the cable with gentle bends and avoid tight kinks, as this will help maximise its service life.
Although this cable is manufactured specifically for the tractor models listed above, it can also be used on many other tractor, agricultural, industrial and stationary engine applications, provided the cable dimensions and end fittings are suitable. Please compare the measurements and fittings with your existing cable before ordering.
We specialise in supplying quality replacement control cables for classic Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall tractors, with both UK manufactured and value alternative options available to suit your requirements.
