18G8283 - Leyland Brake disc
Fitted to the following tractors:
Nuffield 10/42, 10/60, 3/45, 4/65
Leyland 344, 384, 253, 255, 270, 245, 262, 462, 272, 472, 282, 482
Riveted brake discs for Leyland tractors. Note: These are the same size as JCB brake discs, but they have a different material which is more suitable to the weight of the Leyland.
Note 4 per tractor, 2 in each brake housing (disc outside diameter 163mm).
It is recommended that when replacing the brake discs or brake linings that the brake actuator springs and balls are replaced. This will help minimise the chance of the brakes grabbing (locking) during operation.
If brakes continue to grab or the brake actuator is cracked, damaged or shows signs of excessive wear replace complete unit.
